We are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join our Infrastructure Team based in Leavesden, Hertfordshire. You will lead the procurement team to procure and manage agreements, sub-contract packages and/or contracts for Skanska at project level, delivering best value solutions, and providing projects with a compliant, sustainable supply chain.
You’ll:
* Develop package/category procurement strategies to clearly demonstrate and seek approval from stakeholders on how a product/service will be procured.
* Undertake tendering activity applying a balanced approach to select suppliers based upon criteria which is relevant to the customers and Skanska’s objectives.
* Procurement and management of a portfolio of sub-contract packages/categories to optimise value to the business through strategic supplier selection and supplier relationship management.
* Develop and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships at all levels to identify and deliver timely procurement activity to the project procurement schedule/category plan to support profitable projects and UK Business Plan.
* Draft recommendations/business cases for approval and senior management endorsement of supply chain selection.
* Draft, negotiate and execute robust agreements/contracts incorporating relevant Skanska policies to reflect the deal and protect the business from risk.
What you’ll bring to the role:
* Line management to ensure direct report(s) develop, achieve their goals and deliver successful outcomes.
* Category procurement experience.
* Computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and purchasing systems.
* Excellent analytical skills to drive the right decisions and outcomes.
* Confident and professional approach to stakeholder engagement, holding them to account when necessary to uphold legislative compliance and adherence to procurement policy.
* Supply chain marketplace knowledge and network.
