Management Accountant
Salary range: £34,638 to £36,748 per annum

Finance
The Finance Directorate is made up of Finance, Grants and Contacts, Partnership and Programme Funding, Policy & Regulatory and Payroll providing expert advice and professional services to the University Executive Office and to the wider Academic Partnership. The Directorate consists of almost 20 FTEs reporting to the Director of Finance, Scott Rhynas.
The Management Accounts team is part of the Finance function reporting to Finance Manager Tim Miles – the team has four members, including a Senior Management Accountant, two Management Accountants and a Systems Accountant.
The principle role of the team is to provide expert business partnering and financial support to the University. This will include financial advice, budget monitoring, and the preparation of effective reports to aid management and strategic decision-making.
Management Accountant Responsibilities:
This role will provide professional Financial Support to the Directorates of UHI (Executive Office); prepare, analyse and report monthly management accounts, quarterly reforecasts and annual budgets; and prepare and submit financial reports to budget holders and management to aid decision making and financial management.

Pay and Benefits:
This role is linked to grade 6 on the UHI payscale. The starting salary for this position will normally be in the range £34,638 to £36,748 per annum. For exceptional candidates a higher salary up to the top of the grade (currently £40,157 per annum) may be available.
Full-time posts carry a total of 39 days leave per annum (pro rata for part-time posts). It is practice that, with the exception of a Christmas and New Year closure, leave may be taken at any time of year, subject to the requirements of the post and department and with the permission of your line manager.
