The Post:
The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) plays a vital role as part of NHS Scotland. NHS National Services Scotland’s mission is to enable and support the delivery of better care working in partnership. We provide a range of specialised support services that enable NHS boards to focus on delivering health improvement and patient care. Suitable applicants are invited to join a hard-working team in the Blood Bank / Immunohaematology sections of the Transfusion Centre.
The Candidate:
Applications are invited from Biomedical Scientists registered with the HCPC (Health & Care Professions Council). Qualified Biomedical Scientists are preferred for this post; however, applicants with an Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) accredited honors degree who are in the process of applying for HCPC will also be considered. This post offers the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of work undertaken in the Blood Bank / Immunohaematology sections of the Transfusion Centre. The successful applicant will join a team of highly skilled and motivated Biomedical Scientists working in those sections and will undergo training as appropriate.
