About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is thrilled to be supporting a welcoming primary school in Blackpool in their search for a dedicated Level 3 Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate TA who loves working with young children and is committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
As an EYFS TA, you will play a crucial role in supporting children in their foundational learning journey, helping them develop key skills that set the stage for their future academic success. Your role will include working closely with the class teacher, supporting individual students and small groups, and assisting in creating an engaging, inclusive, and safe classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality support to children within the EYFS curriculum, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development
* Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering creative and stimulating learning activities
* Support individual children and small groups, including those with additional learning needs
* Monitor and record pupils' progress, contributing to assessments and reports
* Promote positive behavior management strategies, ensuring each child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers, offering feedback and insights into pupils’ progress
* Help create and maintain a positive, organized classroom environment
* Uphold the school's safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all pupils
Ideal Candidate:
* Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
* Experience working within the EYFS setting, with an understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment framework
* A passion for early years education and a nurturing approach to working with young children
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
* Patient, adaptable, and able to manage challenging situations with positivity
* Knowledge of safeguarding policies and child protection procedures
