Job summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified clinical vascular scientist to take a step into a more senior role for this maternity cover post. This role would be ideal for someone looking to develop their existing skills into more advanced clinical techniques like scanning renal arteries, dialysis grafts and transcranial Doppler, as well as taking an active role in teaching and training of STP trainees and others.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will scan and report independently on the full range of vascular ultrasound investigations, as well as contributing to training pathways for STP trainees and monitoring trainee progress.
We will expect candidates to be HCPC registered clinical scientists OR accredited with CSVS (formerly SVT) as a minimum, but additional supervision can be provided as necessary.
Even though this is a temporary post you will be encouraged to get involved with activities outside of direct patient care and will be provided with protected time during the working week to do this. This might include research or audit projects, teaching and training of junior staff and other health professionals or personal and professional development such as observations in clinics or operating theatres and more.
