Role Overview:
We’re seeking a Project Manager to take the lead on delivering a range of construction projects. This is a pivotal role that requires a versatile individual with experience in project management, quantity surveying, and acting as the Employer’s Agent. The successful candidate will ensure seamless project execution, nurture client relationships, and deliver projects profitably.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Lead construction projects from start to finish, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high standards. Coordinate all stakeholders and oversee every phase of the project.
* Commercial Management (Quantity Surveying): Manage cost planning, budgets, and financial reporting. Ensure value for money while maintaining quality.
* Employer’s Agent: Represent clients’ interests, ensuring projects meet their expectations, specifications, and contractual requirements.
* Contract Administration: Prepare and manage contracts, handle tenders, and ensure all parties meet their obligations.
* Site & Compliance: Regularly visit sites to monitor progress, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Person Specification:
Essential:
* Minimum 4 years’ experience in commercial and/or retail construction fit out projects
* Proven experience in Project Management, Quantity Surveying, and acting as an Employer’s Agent
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies, procurement, and contract administration
* A background gained within a client side, development or consultancy environment
Desirable:
* Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field
* Professional accreditations (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB)
