Highly Specialised Speech & Language Therapist
StCatherines is a small national charity working with children and young people with severe and lifelong speech, language and communication needs and associated difficulties.
Our site in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight encompasses a specialist school and college and a residential Post 19 provision. We offer intensive speech, language and occupational therapy, residential facilities, and comprehensive vocational programmes.
Our holistic approach ensures every young person has access to high-quality learning and personal development opportunities relevant to their needs.
Main duties of the job
We require an enthusiastic and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to work with a caseload of young people. Applicants should be passionate about supporting students with speech, language, and communication needs both within an educational setting and in the local community. The successful applicant will have a positive and flexible approach and an interest in working with children and young people who have communication needs and associated learning difficulties.
There may be an opportunity to lead in an area of the provision.

Job responsibilities
1. To provide intensive speech and language therapy input to our students and young people with speech, language, and communication difficulties working collaboratively with other departments within our organisation.
2. Devise and deliver bespoke therapy packages to students; individually and in small groups.
3. There may be an opportunity for the right candidate to lead on delivery in an area within our organisation.
4. To maintain professional standards of services through continued professional development and other departmental and St. Catherines based activities.
5. The post holder will be expected to model the highest possible standards in work and conduct and will be expected to act with honesty and integrity at all times.
6. The vision and values of the school must be actively followed and embodied.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* You will be qualified to degree level in Speech & Language.
* You will be registered with the RCSLT.
* You will have experience in delivering individual and small group sessions.
* You will need passion and drive to achieve the best possible outcomes.
* A demonstrable desire to make an impact.
