Job Title: Qualified Social Worker – Barnsley – Adult’s Locality Safeguarding Team
Location: Barnsley
Rate: £35 per hour
Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting to join a busy Adult’s Locality Safeguarding Team based in Barnsley.
What will your responsibilities be?
You will take personal responsibility for continuing professional development and maintaining performance levels. You will manage your time effectively and respond flexibly to service needs. You must be able to assess adults under the Care Act 2014. Candidates will ideally have mental health experience and be used to undertaking duty work such as triaging new referrals. You will need to have a thorough understanding of adult safeguarding. Additionally, you will provide support and cover for the Team Manager and/or Principal Manager. Actively participating in the performance management system, including supervision, PAR, team meetings, and service reviews, will be part of your role. You will follow departmental health and safety procedures and develop skills through work experience in various divisional situations, such as secondments, job rotation, and shadowing. Contributing to information management processes and supporting social work students on placement under the direction of the Principal or Practice Manager, acting as a workplace supervisor or Practice Teacher if appropriately trained, will also be expected. You need to understand and integrate into practice the key policies of the council in relation to social care with adults, especially multi-disciplinary working, integration, and whole family approaches.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in Social Work, be registered with the HCPC, and have at least 2 years of experience working within Adult Services. Previous experience with Learning Disabilities and Autism is preferred. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
