Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to take on a new locum opportunity based in location, within the Memory Assessment Service.
Location: Morecambe
Contract Type: Locum, ongoing block booking.
Pay Rate: £26 - £29.78 per hour (assignment rate)
Main Duties:
As a member of the multi-disciplinary Memory Assessment Service (MAS) team, you will act as an independent specialist practitioner, ensuring the effective assessment, planning, consultation, and formulation towards an accurate diagnosis.
Key responsibilities include:
* Applying specialist knowledge and understanding of strategies and interventions in the treatment of dementia.
* Referring appropriately to other services or agencies within or outside the service, where necessary.
* Confidently identifying and managing risk factors, taking appropriate action when required.
* Facilitating communication between GPs, LCFT services, and non-statutory organisations to ensure the highest possible standards of patient care.
* Providing mentoring and clinical supervision to other staff members and trainees on placement.
* Actively promoting the Trust’s values within the MAS service, in accordance with the NMC and HPC codes of conduct.
* Assisting the team manager in providing effective leadership within the MAS team, ensuring thorough assessment, formulation, planning, and monitoring of care delivered to patients and their carers.
Requirements of the Registered Mental Health Nurse:
* Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
* Proven experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse
* Valid NMC Registration
