Department Overview:
The Electronic and Algorithmic Trading (EAT) Risk Management teams sit within the Market Risk function and are responsible for developing and operating the Global EAT Risk Framework. The Global EAT Risk Framework is designed to monitor risk (Financial and Non-Financial) arising from EAT Activity.
Role Description:
The EAT Risk Manager will be located in London, reporting to the Regional Head of EAT Risk, and will be responsible for the oversight of EAT activity in the region.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Approval of new (and material changes to) Trading Strategies
2. Approval of automated control reviews and associated limits
3. Review of relevant EAT incidents and facilitating cross-functional reviews
4. Supporting EAT Risk Framework and governance including:
5. Development and maintenance of Risk Owned Policies and Procedures
6. Support the running of Risk Committees
7. Production of Management Information
Skills, Experience, Qualifications, and Knowledge Required:
1. Relevant eTrading experience in one of: eTrading, Technology, Technology Risk, Compliance or Operational Risk Management
2. Strong knowledge and understanding of eTrading Markets (Rates, FX, Equities)
3. Strong understanding of the fundamentals of eTrading flows (algorithmic trading strategies, smart order routing, dark pools, DMA, etc.)
4. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deliverables
5. Working knowledge of eTrading specific regulation (MIFID II, PRA, etc.)
6. Ability to remain objective and to independently raise concerns and risk issues
7. Ability to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of management
