Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only Working Hours: Full Time, 8:30am to 4:30pm Number of Positions: 1 Start Date: 9th June 2025 Salary: Grade 4 SCP 7 – 11 £25,584- £27,269 (pro-rata) The post holder will report to the Admin Manager. Apart from other colleagues in the school, the main contacts of the role are the Headteacher, Senior Management, SBM, teaching and other support staff, pupils and parents. The successful candidate: Will ensure administrative needs relating to the whole school administration, reception and pupil services are met. Must have good knowledge of windows and excel. Will undertake reception duties, greeting visitors and handling face-to-face enquiries. Will ensure efficient, accurate and timely communication links for parents / carers, staff and other interested parties. Will process attendance data, liaising with staff and parents where necessary Will support the finance department with inputting purchase orders and invoices and using a purchase card in line with the financial procedures Will control and monitor entry to the school including the visitor signing in system and safeguarding issues. Is required to maintain, record and update all administrative information systems and collate information to a high quality and professional standard Will organise school events and trips with staff and teachers ensuring efficient diary management and cost-effective procurements Will have strong organisational skills and attention to detail Will be a team player with a positive attitude Will respect confidentiality at all times Possesses good numeracy and literacy skills. A minimum of grade C in both English and Maths or equivalent is essential. Will be supportive of the ethos and values of the Catholic Faith Will have a knowledge of SIMS (a school computer system to manage staff and pupil information) would be advantageous but not essential. About the Candidate The successful candidate will: Experience of a high level of Administrative work. Possess good numeracy and literacy skills. Possess excellent ICT skills. Ability to manage own workload effectively. Knowledge and experience of information technology and ability to use ICT packages, including spreadsheets, data bases and word processing. Possess excellent keyboard skills in order to produce high quality documents. Accuracy and precision when preparing, maintaining and monitoring administrative records. Have a knowledge and awareness of the regulatory framework around education and schools. Ability to relate well to children and adults. Be able to work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and your own position within these. Ability to identify your own training and development needs and cooperate with the means to address these needs. The role holder must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable the effective performance of the role, including the ability to speak with confidence and accuracy and the ability to listen and respond appropriately dependent on the audience.
