We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our supportive and dynamic team in a secondary school and college setting in West London. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students across a range of ages and abilities, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential in both academic and personal development. As an Occupational Therapist in this vibrant school community, you will provide tailored therapeutic interventions to students with a variety of needs, supporting their physical, sensory, and emotional development. You will work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed in their learning environments. Key Responsibilities: Assess and support students with a range of physical, sensory, and emotional challenges, providing tailored interventions Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and specific strategies for students with special educational needs (SEN) Work closely with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy into the classroom and college setting Offer advice and training to staff on strategies to support students’ access to learning Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of interventions and progress, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures Support students in improving their fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and self-regulation Work collaboratively with other health professionals, including educational psychologists and speech therapists, to provide holistic support Key Requirements: A recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy (BSc/MSc or equivalent) HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration as an Occupational Therapist Previous experience in a school or educational setting (desirable but not essential) Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external agencies A compassionate and patient approach with the ability to tailor interventions to meet individual needs An understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) What We Offer: A supportive and inclusive school and college environment Opportunities for professional development and ongoing training Competitive salary and benefits package The chance to make a positive difference in the lives of young people A collaborative, multidisciplinary team approach We encourage applications from individuals with a passion for helping young people achieve their potential and who are committed to providing high-quality therapeutic support in an educational setting.
