My Client
One of the largest independent power generators in the UK and Ireland, with an asset base that covers multiple technologies including CCGT, CHP, Hydrogen, Carbon Capture and Battery Storage.
The Position
Reporting to the Group Managing director you will be leading the commercial & contract management activity for all new build projects in the UK and Europe (currently 5 projects in Development and consent phase) this will include tradional CHP/CCT builds and also futur technology programs including Hydrogen Process and Carbon capture.
Duties:
Supporting the Projects team in the management of all commercial contracts, including the preparation of draft commercial agreements, involving Contractors, Owners Engineers and other stakeholders.
Preparation of Variation notifications, in accordance with future contract Agreements.
Coordination of technical data from the project management team to support of preparation of Variation Proposals on behalf of the client
Reporting and tracking of financial/Project impact of Variations as part of the budget management process.
Identification of potential and prospective claims from Contractors, Owners Engineer and other stakeholders.
Preparation of the timely responses to claim notifications and submissions by the Contractor or other stakeholders.
Commercial analysis on Claims received from Contractors which will involve collaborating with the groups finance and legal teams'.
Support the Projects team in the preparation of responses on Claims matters, raised by key stakeholders.
Experience Required:
A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar role.
Good understanding of NEC or FIDIC Contracts
Previous experience working within the power sector, ideally principle contractor side.
Strong people skills with the ability to form effective working relationships with contract partners and individuals across the business.
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
