Are you ready to join?#LI-EJ #LI-HybridThis is the jobThe main responsibility of this role is to advocate for and enhance Health & Safety awareness by offering expert advice, guidance, training, and investigative services on various H&S matters in line with legislation, local policies, and procedures.Additionally, this role will support the Head of Function, Lead Advisor, and colleagues by providing assistance across a broad spectrum of H&S issues.What will I be doing?Analyse and identify risk-based trends, investigate data, and develop corrective and preventive action plans.Assist all departments in conducting risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).Provide up-to-date advice, information, guidance, and technical support on relevant UK H&S legislation, Codes of Practice, and Guidance.Review, update, and advise on H&S policies, procedures, and documentation, including maintaining the Company’s intranet site.Conduct and contribute to H&S audits and inspections, providing reports and recommendations.Help managers monitor H&S performance, evaluate compliance with legislation and company standards, and advise on necessary actions.Engage and consult with key stakeholders, including staff, regulators, and union representatives, on H&S matters.Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and dangerous occurrences involving employees, contractors, and the public, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. What do I need?Experience in a similar role, particularly within a multi-disciplined, multi-site business.Minimum of NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent, with a willingness to work towards a Diploma.Chartered Member of IOSH, or a Technical/Certified Member working towards Charter.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build partnerships and relationships both internally and externally.Ability to communicate and present to senior stakeholders across various departments.Additional InformationWe’re always looking to recognise and reward our employees for the work they do.
