Painter & Decorator Supervisor - Based in Eastleigh covering Hampshire and surrounding areas
Salary: £37,000 - £39,000 p/a + company van & fuel card

Join a leading UK-based property maintenance provider, offering reliable and high-quality services across Scotland, Northern/Southern England, London, and the Home Counties. They cover everything from painting and repairs to fire protection and complete refurbishments, ensuring properties are well-maintained and safe. Key sectors include education, healthcare, housing, and retail.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Managing multiple projects on a variety of sites from start to end
2. Empower operatives for autonomous decision-making
3. Manage, measure, and monitor operatives and subcontractors
4. Ensure safe vehicle usage, report accidents, and maintain vehicle cleanliness and stock
5. Escalate urgent events to the managers and highlight long-term performance issues
6. Be accountable for managed jobs, supporting the Operations Centre as needed
7. Scope and estimate large works compliant with CDM 2015
8. Recruit and induct operatives professionally
9. Conduct toolbox talks and ensure attendance
10. Escalate unresolved issues
11. Conduct employee investigations and reviews
12. Manage absences and return-to-work interviews
13. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses
14. Provide out-of-hours escalation support
The successful candidate will have:
1. 5 years' experience of working as a decorator in commercial and domestic environments
2. 2 years' experience of working as a supervisor
3. Technical expertise, qualifications, or apprenticeship in a trade skill
4. IOSH Managing Safely
5. SSSTS (preferably)
6. Construction Skills Certificate Scheme Accreditation (Desirable)
7. Have a full driving licence
