An opportunity with a fantastic school in the Bristol area has become available for a recent graduate or passionate individual to join the school’s team of support staff.
We are working with an amazing school looking to welcome a Mental Health Specialist to their team of support staff, joining clinical therapists, educational psychologists, and safeguarding officers in providing the school’s students with additional support and guidance. The school caters to students aged 4-19 from diverse backgrounds with varying additional needs regarding mental health, social and emotional confidence, and developmental trauma. The school wants a Mental Health Specialist to begin their career with them in February 2025 and support the students on a 1-1 basis. The pupils need consistent support and encouragement to ensure they reach their full potential within their academic career and in society.
Responsibilities:
1. Working with children on a 1-1 basis throughout the week.
2. Supervising students throughout class time.
3. Helping students maintain focus on tasks.
4. Finding regulation methods to follow during turbulent situations.
5. Encouraging students to develop independence.
6. Facilitating therapeutic techniques.
7. Acting as a role model and providing guidance to students navigating turbulent situations.
Details:
* 1-1 SEMH/SEN support
* Monday – Friday, 8:30-3:30
* £85-£95 per day
* February 2025
