We are looking to offer the right candidate the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship in Hospitality Team Member Level 2 whilst working within the catering services team in Barnsley College.
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Assisting customers placing orders.
• Serving staff and students drinks and snacks.
• Refilling condiments, replenish knives and forks and restock fridges when needed.
• Assist in daily routine cleaning and ensure all areas are kept tidy, safe and hygienic.
• Ensure that all plates and cutlery and cooking utensils are washed ready for the next use.
• Carrying out cleaning duties of equipment.
• Carrying out cleaning duties within the College in compliance with all relevant Health & Safety & Hygiene requirements.
• You may from time to time be expected to undertake other duties at different campuses.
• To undertake such other responsibilities and duties as may be required from time to time by the College within the duties and responsibilities of the post.
Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Other requirements
You maybe required to work at different Barnsley College campuses.
Working week: 30 Hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 7pm.
