Outreach Tutor - Southend-On-Sea
We are seeking a committed and inspiring Outreach Tutor in the Southend-On-Sea area to deliver bespoke 1:1 educational packages to young people who are currently not attending school.
As an Outreach Tutor, you will plan, create, and deliver personalised lessons designed to bridge gaps in students' education while boosting their engagement and attainment. This role is particularly suited to experienced teachers seeking a more individualised teaching approach outside of the traditional classroom setting.
Many of the pupils have been out of education for some time, often resulting in low confidence. You will play a key role in helping them re-engage with learning and providing much-needed structure to their daily routines. Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor progress and support effective learning outcomes.
Role:
- Location: Southend-On-Sea
- Position: Outreach Tutor
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Type: Temporary
- Duration: Dependent on individual student needs
- Hours: Flexible - minimum of 1 hour to a maximum of 3 hours per session
- Pay: Minimum £25 per hour
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, PGCE, EYFS, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 6 months' experience working in a UK school.
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training completed within the last year (desirable).
Eligibility:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to complete a new application.
- Provide two professional child-related references covering the past two years.
