What you will do
As a Regulatory Reporting Accountant, you will take ownership of a critical regulatory reporting process. You'll lead the preparation and analytical review of key regulatory returns, including Own Funds, Leverage, and Large Exposures. You'll be at the forefront of the Pillar 3 disclosure process, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are engaged and informed.
You'll have the opportunity to use your initiative to improve processes through the production and data sources available within the business, leveraging automation to enhance efficiency. You'll be responsible for preparing returns to a high standard of accuracy, performing analytical reviews that provide valuable insights to management and escalating any changes or concerns to the reviewing manager.
As the owner of the returns from production to submission, you'll present to relevant stakeholders for submission approval, highlighting any changes in reporting or key drivers in movements. Building strong working relationships with business areas that provide data will be crucial, as will investigating guidance and regulations to form a view on the reporting of items as needed.
You'll maintain documentation on processes and interpretations, assist in the automation of the regulatory reporting project and collate information on key controls for certain external disclosures.
