Manchester city centre (3 days a week WFH flexible start times: 7am -10am) JOB PURPOSE You will be working across a number of development teams to help realise the full potential of a recently launched 100 million pound, high-volume, low latency microservices platform, and challenge process and existing ways of working or to truly own the domain you're a part of, pushing for innovation through valuable technical or non-technical change. This will include Designing, developing, and optimizing full-stack JavaScript systems and components (React, Node.js, Scaling and performance optimisation of web frontend and interaction with API layers Works to increase team cohesion by being a collaboration first person - such as helping up skill peers, engaging in pair programming and providing high quality code reviews Resolve high-level, complex software challenges and optimise system performance Implement and follow software development processes, including Agile and Scrum methodologies Document software design, code, and test procedures Participate in the estimation of software development projects Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation Mentor Junior Developers and assist with their professional development.
