We are looking for: Youth Worker (term time 40 weeks) Salary: £20,917 - £21,933 FTE -£23,543 - £24,686 We are looking for a passionate youth worker who has extensive experience of engaging with young people. You will work directly with students across the college, supporting faculties with a range of engagement strategies, designing and promoting activities for students in response to raising attendance and punctuality. You will work collaboratively with faculty staff, student welfare officers, safeguarding and safety and engagement in providing a safe and trusting environment for students to flourish. You will carry out home visits, parental/guardian liaison and attend wider community based visits to support and engage with students effectively. You will also have the opportunity to deliver life skills sessions, making a real diffrence to the young people in our college. You will have the opportunity to support community outreach initiatives designed to support recruitment in line with college targets and attend meetings, case conferences and reviews when needed. Experience working with SEND students would be a great advantage. Applicants must have a level 3 or above professional youth worker related discipline including social work, youth work, community work or outreach work. Safeguarding training and a minimum or GCSE/L2 in English and maths. We anticipate that interviews for this position will take place during early December.
