This is an office-based role, working within the Software Development department in our telematics HQ in Crewe, Cheshire. As Technical Support Lead, you’ll be responsible for managing the growing team that supports our internal and customer-facing telematics software platforms. You’ll also provide some hands-on second line support where required. You and your team will: Provide a friendly face to the business and bridge the gap with our internal third line support team on the occasions where they need to be involved with bug fixes. Ensure that issues are highlighted to our delivery and software development teams so that they can be pro-actively resolved. Gather monthly metrics around each supported system in order to analyse issues and work with management and tech leads to set out future processes or fix common issues. Your responsibilities will include… Working through Technical Support Tickets on our Jira Service Desk Board Communicating with the business and keeping them updated on the progress of tickets. Highlighting recurring or High-Profile issues to the Third Line Team and Management. Supporting the team with day-to-day work, monthly one to ones and Annual Reviews. Collating key ticket statistics, garnering insight with the tech teams, and providing management with digestible breakdowns. What do we expect of you? This role could be ideal if you have a Support Developer, Application Support, or Product Support background. We’re looking for you to bring: People management experience Strong SQL skills. Ability to prioritise and pivot between tasks. Ability to communicate with business users. Ability to bridge gaps between technical and non-technical people.
