About the Role - We are seeking a Service Engineer with experience in performing service and calibration on biomedical and healthcare equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, time management, and organizational skills to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. As part of the team, you will work on a wide range of medical equipment, traveling across the UK to deliver high-quality service and calibration solutions to our clients.
Responsibilities -
As a Service Engineer, your primary duties will include:
* Service & Calibration of Biomedical Equipment: Conducting service and calibration on various biomedical and healthcare equipment such as:
* Ovens, Fridges/Freezers, Incubators (Temperature/CO2 and RH), Centrifuges, Freeze Driers, Temperature/Humidity Stability Cabinets, Balances, Washers, Autoclaves/Steam Sterilization Equipment
* Traveling for On-Site Service: Traveling across the UK to perform calibration and servicing at client locations, ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standard.
* Report Writing & Documentation: Completing service reports and calibration records in compliance with industry standards.
* Adherence to Industry Guidelines: Ensuring that all services and calibrations are performed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and relevant safety standards.
* Communication with Clients: Maintaining excellent communication with clients, providing updates on service activities and addressing any technical concerns.
* Safety Compliance: Observing safety procedures and using protective equipment (PPE) as necessary to ensure safe working practices at all times.
Experience & Skills -
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and skills:
* Experience in Service & Calibration: At least 1 year of experience servicing and calibrating biomedical or healthcare equipment is essential.
* Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of calibration and servicing procedures for a range of biomedical equipment (e.g., ovens, incubators, autoclaves).
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively report on service and calibration activities.
* Time Management & Organization: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively while meeting deadlines and client requirements.
* Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to service and calibration to ensure the accuracy and functionality of equipment.
* Willingness to Travel: Ability and willingness to travel UK-wide for service calls and assignments.
Qualifications -
* A one-year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
