Job summary We are pleased to offer an exacting opportunity to join our Transforming Cancer Services Team here at Velindre Trust. As Equipment Workstream Delivery Manager, you will lead and manage significant aspects of the new Velindre Cancer Centre (nVCC) Project, at strategic and operational levels. When complete, the nVCC will be a world class facility which provides specialist tertiary oncology services to patients across Southeast Wales. The post holder will be the senior management lead from the Equipment Workstream in relation to ensuring a fit for purpose equipment profile that will enable occupation of the nVCC by clinical and non-clinical services in line with the Commissioning Programme. You will be required to work effectively and influence at all levels of the Trust and across boundaries, including internally: Directors and Senior Managers within nVCC, Project workstreams including Digital, Transition, equipment users. The post requires an individual who has excellent organisational and communication skills. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply Main duties of the job To lead on all equipment matters relating to the new Velindre Cancer Centre (nVCC). To research the equipment market and ensure that the Trust is aware of product developments/ advances when specifying and selecting equipment. To manage the development of all equipment specifications applicable to equipment to be purchased from the Equipment budget. Equipment inventory: o To establish procedures and protocols to enable an effective equipment inventory of existing equipment to be established. Outputs will be used to inform transfer potential, enable a gap analysis and determine equipment procurement requirements together with the requirements of the removals contract and equipment disposals. o To manage the equipment inventory exercise and ensure that outputs are delivered in a timely way and used appropriately.
