What you will do in your working day
Please note; that this is not a football coaching role.
The role involves:
* Working within a football community setting and supporting the delivery of community sport
* Working within our Health & Inclusion team to support sport & physical activity sessions across different ages and demographics
* Community Engagement. Engaging with hundreds of 8-18-year old’s through turn up & play football sessions such as Premier League Kicks, Street Soccer and within the older age groups walking football, mobility sessions and more
* The sessions, within areas of deprivation in Wycombe, are aimed at creating welcoming environments for young people to aspire to fulfil their potential
* The role involves working within the local networks to deliver and support sport & physical activity sessions within and across partner community settings and schools
The training you will be getting
Level 2 Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship Standard, which includes:
* Safeguarding Level 1
* Prevent Duty
* Level 1/2 functional skills in maths and English (if required)
* End-Point Assessment (EPA)
* ENHANCED – NGB Football delivered by Club
Delivery method and location of training to be confirmed.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
* Level 3 Community Sport and Health Officer Apprenticeship
* Level 4 Community Sports Coach
* Teaching Assistant with PE Focus in school setting
* PE Teacher – following higher Education routes
On successful completion of this apprenticeship the Community Activator Coach will be eligible to become an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA).
