We're seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join the team in one of our biggest South West Fulfilment Centres. Our Fulfilment Centres sit at the heart of Amazon's world-class and rapidly growing Operations network: they're where we manage our fast-moving inventory and develop our industry-leading workflows.
With you reporting to the Regional Human Resources Manager, you'll develop and deliver a bespoke Human Resources plan to support our brand new Operations facility. As this Fulfilment Centre gets up and running, you'll also have a hand in developing the wider HR strategy and gain exposure to many different aspects of our global network, tackling international Human Resources projects.
You'll manage change as Operations processes develop and evolve, ensuring a strong, inclusive, and supportive Human Resources culture is communicated across your Fulfilment Centre.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Recruitment and Selection: You'll be involved in recruitment panels for Senior Leadership roles, identifying the next Amazonians to join the family and partnering with the Talent Acquisition team to develop Amazon as the employer brand of choice.
2. Employee Relations and Engagement: It's crucial that you earn trust from day one, forming strong relationships with everyone to monitor employee engagement and drive continuous improvement.
3. Performance Management, Talent Management and Succession Planning: You'll coach and influence team members, inspiring everyone to be their professional best and owning the overall succession plan.
4. Generalist Human Resources: As an experienced Senior Generalist, you'll lead and motivate your team, ensuring rapid delivery of results while balancing commercial acumen with a fair outlook.
About the Team
You will manage a small dedicated team on site that partners with the operational leaders to ensure positive organisational health and be part of the Regional senior leadership team in the South West.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. You have a bachelor degree or equivalent.
2. You have significant Human Resources experience at a management level, ideally within a high-volume, fast-paced, and customer-focused environment.
3. You develop effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
4. You demonstrate a proven, hands-on attitude while remaining flexible and adaptable.
5. Demonstrable ability to motivate and positively influence others.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. You're both degree and CIPD qualified.
2. Solid problem-solving and analytical capabilities; able to analyze Human Resources metrics and develop plans accordingly.
3. You possess strong change management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
4. You're intellectually curious, bringing valuable insight to the team and business.
5. Strong understanding of MS Office and HR information systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) would be advantageous.
