Could you use your skills to help shape the direction of the finance function at the Diocese of Westminster?
What you’ll be doing
We are recruiting a Management Accountant for our Finance department who will contribute towards delivering high-quality and insightful management reporting across the charity, financial business partnering with departmental leads, management and statutory accounts, financial analysis, and budgeting.
You will be responsible for supporting the month-end process through leading on key processes and analysis, such as management accounts preparation, preparing journals and ensuring ledgers and reconciliations are up to date, as well as maintaining the integrity and accuracy of data. Additionally, you will be responsible for financial business partnering with departmental leads, support the budgetary process including preparation of templates, and meeting with budget holders to develop departmental budgets and forecasts.
Your responsibilities in supporting the annual audit process across the Diocese, and assisting with the financial planning and analysis that drives informed decision-making in the wider Diocese, will directly impact how we deliver the mission of the Catholic Church in Westminster.

What we’re looking for
You’ll love working in a role with a significant data focus, and able to work efficiently and diligently within a team and autonomously. A keen attention to detail, analytical skills and the ability to effectively problem-solve are key to success in this role.
Additionally, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, and an innate ability to communicate and influence stakeholders of all levels within the charity. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role for the Finance team, able to adapt and be flexible when responding to challenges, and willing to support the work of other team members as required.
It is essential that the successful candidate have a strong knowledge of financial and management accounting, inclusive of month end reporting and budgeting. Additionally, the successful candidate will be a finalist in ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
