The Driver and Logistics Manager will be integral in ensuring that the rotas are in place for the vans to be driven to the required locations, are clean, fully stocked to support the aims of the SWP ODN service across Devon, Cornwall & Somerset, whilst ensuring that the vans are safe, well maintained and all service records and documentation are maintained. The role involves management of equipment owned by the ODN, arranging maintenance and servicing as well as ordering new equipment. Additionally, there will be a requirement to support the collection of data required by NHS England for the respective projects relating to the vans.
Main duties of the job
1. Manage and co-ordinate all aspects of driving, maintenance vehicle documentation and consumable stocking, cleaning, and removing waste from the vans (including clinical and domestic waste).
2. Co-ordinate where the vans will go, ensuring that the publicity of events is timely, and any other activities which are required to run a professional and bespoke service. Ensure that the vans are delivered to the agreed location, clean and fully stocked for the working day, order equipment and monitor stock level.
3. Develop links with service providers (including homeless hostels, local drug and alcohol services/ teams) to inform them of mobile clinic activities, encourage their participation, and identify potential testing sites.
4. Plan and co-ordinate logistics, paperwork, pathways and stock for all outreach sessions. Manage maintenance schedule and servicing for vans, equipment and consumables.
5. Liaise with the other driver(s) to ensure they have all the information and instructions needed to carry out the service delivery across the SWP ODN.
Job responsibilities
1. To co-ordinate and be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the mobile outreach vans.
2. Undertake promotional activities to publicise the mobile outreach service to ensure the service is well known and well attended.
3. To support the work of the Hepatitis C Trust and the SWP ODN by developing your knowledge of hepatitis C, and act as a source of advice and support to people accessing the vans.
4. Collect and record all administrative, recording and monitoring systems for the community health vans ensuring they are in line with the SWP ODNs internal policies and procedures.
5. To take full responsibility for the community health vans, ensuring that all documentation is up to date including MOT, Tax, repair, maintenance serving and insurance.
6. Monitor stock level, order consumables and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to arrange maintenance and servicing for vans and equipment such as fibroscan and cepheid machine.
7. Work in partnership with local hospital staff and volunteers to ensure the community health vans are fully staffed and appropriate patient pathways are in place.
8. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders proactively to collect data and arrange deliveries.
9. Act as a professional lead member for the community health vans and main point of contact for the NHS P Drivers and with the public and site staff at testing locations.
10. Be responsible for the co-ordination of the drivers and all operational matters concerning the van including daily vehicles checks, stock regular stock checking and cleaning inspections.

Qualifications
* Category C1 UK Driving licence
* At least five GCSEs, grade 4/C or above, including English and Maths
* Any healthcare related qualifications
Knowledge & Experience
* Full clean UK Driving licence, held for more than 5 years
* Proven knowledge of the Hepatitis C Virus and Liver related illness
* Demonstrable experience of working in the health service or for vulnerable people's services
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of people, from service users to senior clinicians and managers.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills able to engage and maintain relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds
