What sort of work? We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing IT team as a Business Process/Software Analyst in our Exeter or Bristol offices.
We are looking for an analyst who ideally has law firm experience and some exposure to legal process and legal software such as Aderant Expert, iManage, Intapp, or Litera. Having a mindset that can be applied to use a variety of tools such as Boomi, SharePoint, Power Automate, or similar low-code/no-code platforms, as well as SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) would be advantageous.
You will be responsible for liaising with key stakeholders to help define and refine processes and provide innovative software solutions to meet both internal and external client needs. In addition, you will be able to help create some of these solutions by facilitating configuration changes and enhancements to our various legal systems.
You will have the opportunity to lead and collaborate on business development initiatives, liaising with the business and colleagues on the full project lifecycle ultimately delivering high-quality, functional, and optimised products to the business.
Duties in this role will include:
* Leading on business software development initiatives, liaising with the business as to the requirements and specifications.
* Providing solutions to meet the business needs.
* Helping to develop software solutions involving our core legal systems and various platforms and programming tools.
* Enhancing, maintaining, and supporting existing software systems and applications.
* Performing trials, testing, and quality checks to ensure adherence to high-quality standards, functionality, and optimisation.
* Working independently to deadlines and also as part of a small team.
* Communicating effectively with stakeholders, users, and colleagues.

Who are we looking for? We are looking for somebody who will understand our values and thrive in our culture. The ideal candidate will be able to play a key role in driving the Firm's digital transformation and the implementation of leading technologies to enhance business processes. This role can be based in either our Bristol or Exeter office.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience of Business Analysis, ideally within a legal environment.
* Exposure to one or more key legal systems such as Aderant Expert, Intapp platforms, iManage document management, and Linetime case management systems.
* Exposure to one or more of Boomi, SharePoint, Power Automate, or similar low-code/no-code platforms.
* Exposure to/experience of Large Language Models and Artificial Intelligence would be advantageous.
* Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
* Knowledge of database best practices and T-SQL queries.
* The ability to collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
* Programming experience would be useful.
