Operations Director
Contract type: Full Time Permanent
Working hours: 40 hours a week – Hybrid working with regular travel
As our Operations Director, you’ll work alongside senior management to ensure the success of our operations across the North of England. This role involves end-to-end accountability for regional sales, financial performance, and health & safety compliance across multiple contracts and projects for a high-profile, multi-site client. Working closely with the Operations Managers under your remit, you’ll drive performance to achieve ambitious financial targets, maintain first-class service delivery, and foster high-value client relationships.
Drive strategic leadership by developing regional business plans with support teams, ensuring alignment with broader company goals.
Oversee financial performance, meeting or exceeding budgeted targets and closely monitoring contract budgets for financial health.
Lead team development by mentoring Operations Managers and direct reports, fostering a culture of respect, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Manage and nurture key client relationships, focusing on contract expansion and ensuring high levels of satisfaction, leading to long-term partnership growth.
Strong financial acumen, including experience overseeing revenues exceeding £5 million, ensuring robust financial performance and budget management.
Exceptional client relationship skills, excelling in contract retention and driving new business development, with the opportunity to work with an already established, high-profile client looking to expand further.
Ideally, a background in commercial management within grounds maintenance, landscaping, horticulture, facilities, or waste management, bringing a wealth of industry experience to drive growth and success in a fast-paced environment.
