a Facilities Support Assistant to join our dedicated and diverse team. This role is pivotal in ensuring our university buildings run smoothly and provide a safe, welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. About the Role As a Facilities Support Assistant, you will be at the heart of our mission to support world-class education and research. Your contributions will directly enhance the daily experiences of our university community. Your role includes front-of-house services, building safety checks, event setup, hospitality preparation, basic DIY maintenance and supporting staff, students, and visitors with general queries. This hands-on role offers training in first aid, fire safety, and IT/AV support, giving you valuable experience in facilities management. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll develop practical skills while contributing to the daily operations of key University spaces. About You
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
8. Confidence in carrying out practical tasks, including manual handling, basic DIY tasks and basic building checks (training will be provided)
9. Good communication skills, with a polite and professional approach to interacting with a wide range of people.
10. Reliable, and able to manage changing priorities in a busy environment.
11. This role does involve the handling and serving of alcoholic beverages for events.
