Joining Ogi is a unique opportunity to work within an innovative Welsh business and one of the fastest-growing companies in Wales. You may have known us previously as Spectrum Internet and NSUK, but we've rebranded to Ogi - a new name that reflects our commitment to serving Welsh communities. We’ve received a multi-million-pound investment and are currently in the thick of our large-scale full-fibre internet deployment across South Wales About you… If you’re unfamiliar with GIS (Geographic Information Systems), don’t worry. In a nutshell, GIS is the technology we use to collect, manage, and analyse geographic data – in this case, crucial to ensuring our fibre network is designed and built correctly. If you’re passionate about technology, enjoy working with data, and are keen to learn, this could be an exciting new direction for your career. We’re looking for someone who’s interested in building their skills, whether you’re coming from a background in coordination, data entry, administration, or even document control. You’ll receive full training on our systems, including working with DPCom, our trusted partner in managing the design and build of network infrastructure, to keep projects moving smoothly. In terms of background/attributes, we’re looking for: A practical, detail-oriented individual who loves data and technology. Experience in a coordinator, administrator, data entry, or document control role. IT literacy with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.). Great communication skills, both written and verbal. Any experience with mapping tools (such as GIS software) or telecoms would be a bonus, but it’s not essential. What you’ll be doing… You’ll be working with our experienced GIS and network planning teams to help document, verify, and update our fibre network information, ensuring all our records are accurate and up to date. Through training and hands-on experience, you’ll learn to navigate GIS tools and platforms, working with our planning and engineering teams to keep our fibre network designs up to date. Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Assisting with the documentation and verification of As-built records (the final network plans). Collaborating with DPCom and other teams to keep project data accurate and accessible. Learning how to use GIS tools to review, modify, and validate geographic data. Supporting the team in maintaining a seamless flow of information between departments and partners. Becoming a key part of the network build process, from planning to completion. Next Steps? Please get in touch for more information and a confidential chat, even if you don't tick all the requirements but think you'd be a good fit.
