Job Description
The opportunity has arisen for the position of Director of North East of Scotland Transport Partnership (Nestrans). We are seeking a motivated and innovative Director with senior-level experience working with Boards or Committees to advise the Partnership Board on transport responsibilities. You will lead the work of the Partnership Executive and liaise with transport stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of the Partnership's aims, priorities, and budget.
Nestrans is one of seven Transport Partnerships established under the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005, covering Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire. It is managed by a Board comprising four Councillors from each council and four non-Councillor members appointed by the Minister for Transport.
The Partnership develops and delivers the long-term regional transport strategy and leads strategic transport improvements to enhance residents' quality of life by supporting the economy and environment. The vision up to 2040 emphasizes a safer, cleaner, more inclusive, accessible, and resilient transport system.
