We are searching for an SEN Teaching Assistant to become part of our team at a school in Southsea. This position is ideal for someone genuinely dedicated to assisting students with diverse needs, enabling them to excel in their academic and personal growth.
The school serves students with a wide range of Special Educational Needs, including moderate to complex learning challenges, profound and multiple learning difficulties, Down syndrome, specific communication and learning needs, Speech and Language difficulties, complex medical conditions, and multi-sensory autism.
Your qualifications and experience will enable you to offer essential support and guidance to students with SEN.
To be successful for the SEN Teaching Assistant role experience is desirable in:
Any teaching experiences
Sports Coaching
Nursery background
Support work or Health care
Youth Work
Working with challenging behaviour
The SEN Teaching Assistant role:
Settling the class into their tutor group
Supporting teachers in ensuring all pupils can access their curriculum
1:1, 2:1 and small group activities
Working closely with teachers to ensure all pupils are supported in school
Full-time is preferred but part-time applicants may still apply, as job shares can be available
Hours 8:30am-3:30pm
