Job Responsibilities:
* This job is responsible for handling moderately complex operations processes related to credit disputes, escalations and tax reporting. Key responsibilities include analysis, research, reconciliation, reporting data validation and resolution of issues and identified customer requests which may carry high levels of risk within enterprise risk categories.
* Consumer Wealth Tax Operations, a department within NFRR Tax Credit Reporting Operations (NTCO), is responsible for multiple tax related functions to support Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and State regulatory required tax reporting and withholding payments, on behalf of consumer and wealth clients.
* The Associate will be responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly quality assurance (QA) functions that reduce risk and provide necessary separation of duties related to the overall department control environment, including tax payments, federal and state tax filings, and processing tax withholding reversals.
* This position will require overtime during tax season.
Principal Accountabilities:
* Assist with legal entity summary filings with the IRS, solicitations for tax forms, handling IRS correspondence regarding refunds and penalties.
* Support year end initiatives and any tax withholding remediation initiatives.
* Reviewing and researching tax withholding reports and monthly reconciliations.
* Reconcile withholding ledgers through various system checks and balances.
* Preparation and review of payment packets, gathering all necessary documentation to evidence accuracy and completeness.
* Adherence to specific regulated payment schedules and time deadlines.
* Reviewing, researching and responding to branch inquiries in relation to withholding.
* Metrics reporting and Quality Assurance Peer Reviews.
* Work with Project Enablement and/or Technology teams on process enhancements.
* Tasks might be assigned as needed contingent to the team’s workload.

* Demonstrates initiative and a commitment to continuous learning.
Desired Skills:
* College degree strongly preferred.
* Understanding of rules and regulations governing tax operations.
* Understanding of tax filing requirements and reporting.
* GWIM experience.
