The ACP will demonstrate in-depth knowledge and capabilities in all aspects of health and social care encompassing advanced clinical assessment, critical thinking, and clinical management skills that are evidence-based and deliver high-quality patient-centered care. The ACP will demonstrate complex decision-making skills and competencies for expanded scope of advanced clinical practice for service users and clinical teams according to needs.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential Criteria
* NMC Registered or HCPC Registered
* Teaching and assessing qualification
* Degree at 2.2 Level 2 maths and English (GCSE grade A*-C or O levels grade 1-6)
Desirable Criteria
* Post registration qualification or training relevant to specialty
* Working towards MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice
* Mentor/Assessor and/or teaching qualification
* Non-Medical prescribing (if service need requires)
Experience
Essential Criteria
* Experience of first contact/triage processes within primary care/community care or prison settings
* Significant experience of working in Primary healthcare/community setting at an advanced clinical level
* Experience of clinical leadership
* Autonomous decision making
* Post-registration experience
Desirable Criteria
* Experience of developing services
* Experience of working with offenders/criminal justice system
* Experience of clinically supervising others
* Experience in using research evaluation/audit tools and demonstrating need.
* Evidence of involvement in policy and practice change
Skills
Essential Criteria
* Ability to lead and motivate staff
* Broad range of clinical skills - acute and long-term condition management
* Advanced assessment and diagnostic skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to develop positive working relationships
* Report writing skills

* Knowledge of developments relating to primary care
