Job Title: Elderly Care / Orthopaedic Occupational Therapist Band: Band 6 Location : Leicester, Leicestershire Working Hours: 37.5 Rate : Competitive, to be discussed upon application Pulse Healthcare is currently seeking for an Adult Occupational Therapist to join our NHS team based in Leicester, Leicestershire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract. What will your responsibilities be? As an Elderly Care / Orthopaedic Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in helping older adults and orthopaedic patients recover from surgery or manage long-term conditions. You’ll assess and develop personalised care plans, providing therapy to improve daily living activities like dressing and mobility. Working with a multidisciplinary team, you’ll support patients recovering from joint replacements, fractures, and musculoskeletal conditions, while recommending home modifications and assistive equipment to enhance safety. You will also educate patients and families on injury prevention and recovery, ensuring they receive the best care for a successful recovery and improved quality of life. Qualifications and Experiences: Must have atleast 2 years previous acute medical experience Relevant degree/qualification in Occupational Therapy HCPC registration Previous NHS experience desirable How to apply?
