The Laurus Trust is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sports Centre Assistant to join the team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our facilities provide a welcoming and positive experience for all our new members. Furthermore, you will be responsible for supporting the daily interaction with community users along with the day-to-day cleaning, setting up and supervision of gym and sports facilities. A willingness to travel is essential for this role as the successful candidate could be required to work across all of our sites, these include Club Cheadle Hulme, Club Laurus and Hazel Grove Sports Centre.
The shift pattern for this position is 37 hours per week, 4 midweek evenings: 3.30 - 10:30pm, 1 weekend shift: 8am-5pm.

Job Purpose
* To assist in the smooth running of the sports centre facilities.
* To liaise with the Heads of the School PE Department to ensure smooth operation/changeover between school and community use.
Key Skills & Experience
* Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
* Must be able to move equipment correctly (e.g. badminton posts, table tennis tables).
* Prior experience in a similar role.
