Job Purpose: As an Audit and Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for overseeing audit work, managing a portfolio of clients, preparing accounts, and assisting with training junior team members. This is a senior-level role where you will progress towards managing both audit and accountancy clients. Key Responsibilities: • Lead audit engagements and support the audit team in planning, executing, and finalising audits • Preparation of company accounts and tax returns • Experience in charity audits is preferred but not essential • Preparation of personal tax returns • Managing client relationships and providing professional advice • Training, coaching, and mentoring junior staff and trainees • Work with the management team to ensure efficient delivery of services • Developing audit strategies and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations • Review the work of junior team members and provide feedback • Progressing towards managing audits and accountancy clients independently The Successful Candidate: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audit and accounts, with the ability to lead audits and manage client relationships. You should be proactive, organised, and confident, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Skills and Experience: • 3 years of accounting and audit experience • Strong attention to detail • Excellent time management and organisational skills • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal • Good technical skills with a focus on accuracy • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills • Ability to handle confidential information • Strong record-keeping and reporting skills Qualifications: • ACA, ACCA qualified (or part-qualified) with a strong background in practice • Experience managing audits and accounts preparation in an accountancy practice What’s on offer: Our client values their employees and offers a range of benefits to recognise and reward strong performance.
