We are seeking a part-time Overpayment Recovery Assistant to join our busy Revenues & Benefits service.
You would be working within a small team responsible for the recovery of council tax, business rates, housing benefit and accommodation costs. Your role will entail:
1. Dealing with customer queries
2. Carrying out means tests
3. Negotiating and reviewing payment plans
4. Identifying help where available
5. Supporting the Senior Revenues & Benefits Officer (Recovery) with tasks such as running and checking reports
You must have a high standard of written English, previous office experience preferred, including the use of Microsoft packages and a commitment to providing a quality service.
To be a part of the team, you will need an understanding of socio-economic pressures, particularly in the current financial climate, and be able to demonstrate balanced reasoning.
