Our client is seeking a dedicated part-time Minibus Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for children attending respite breaks. Role Overview As a Minibus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting children and their travel chaperone to and from designated locations. This includes occasional outings where you’ll ensure the children’s safety, comfort, and enjoyment. The role involves driving a variety of routes, from residential roads to motorways, following predefined pick-up and drop-off points. You will also ensure the minibus is roadworthy by conducting pre- and post-journey safety checks and ensuring regular operational maintenance is performed. Key Responsibilities Transporting Children & Travel Chaperone: Safely transport children and their designated travel chaperone to and from respite locations and outings. Safety First: Conduct thorough pre- and post-journey checks, including tyres, lights, and fluids. Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure regular 10-week operational checks are completed and maintain the vehicle's cleanliness and fuel levels. Record Keeping: Accurately log journey details, mileage, and attendance. Collaboration: Work closely with the travel chaperone to ensure the children’s safety, assisting with comfort breaks and other needs. What We’re Looking For Essential: Full, clean driving licence (Pre-97 or PCV with D1 category) Experience in passenger transport Strong communication skills and teamwork ability Punctual, reliable, and compassionate attitude DBS clearance (provided) and satisfactory references Desirable: MIDAS certification First Aid training Pay and Benefits Starting Pay: £11.50 per hour (for those without MIDAS certification). After MIDAS Certification: Pay increases to £12.50 per hour. Training will be provided through a one-day, paid driver course. Why This Role?
