EQUANS is looking for a Mobile Water Treatment Technician to join our team in Blackburn on a permanent basis for our Technical Compliance Services department. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. General Overview: Representing EQUANS Technical Compliance Services as a Water Treatment Engineer and/or Risk Assessor to execute the self-delivery of all Water Treatment services across the UK. Interpersonal skills will be key to gaining the trust and confidence of all Clients, effectively working with the Technical team supported by Schedulers and Contract Administrators to efficiently deliver Water Treatment Planned and remedial works utilising system tools. As this is not extensive job description you may be required to perform other duties as directed by the management. Willing to work overtime is essential. Job Specific Tier 1 – Temperature Monitoring, Showerhead Descales, Cold Water Storage Tank Inspections and Cleans, Cooling Tower Clean and Disinfections, TMV Servicing, Water Sampling Tier 2 – in addition to Tier 1, Dosing of Inhibitor and Biocide, LTHW Systems Testing and Analysis Tier 3 – in addition to Tiers 1 and 2, Cooling System Testing and Analysis, Water Softener Servicing or Plumbing Remedial Works Risk Assessor Undertake legionella risk assessments to a high standard in line with the latest version of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition) and its associated technical guidance documents of HSG274 and the British standard code of practice for Risk assessing BS8580-1 2019. Carry out Legionella Risk Assessments manually and electronically. Drawing of schematic diagrams. Provide technical support where required. Ensure that Legionella Risk Assessments paperwork and reports are completed correctly and returned within agreed KPI timescales. You may be required to carry out other operational work to ensure that contractual commitments are met. Client/Customer Respond in a timely manner to verbal and written requests Assist in providing information for quotations including undertaking site surveys Complete work reports either via a day works sheet or Planon in a timely manner First point for customers on site Attend client meetings as and when required Finance Liaise with procurement for material purchases using preferred supplier’s list. Ensure purchases made on the purchase card are recorded with receipts promptly Ensure expenses are submitted for timely payment Ensure timesheets are submitted on a weekly basis Helpdesk – PPM Ensure full cooperation and coordination with Helpdesk team Be available for out of hours work as required Be able to cover sites during absence as directed by Technical Manager. Compliance Carryout remedial works in response to quoted works Carry out PPM service visits using appropriate tools and systems Ensure all site L8 logbooks where acting as the Primary Technician are in date and accurate HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality and Environment) Comply with reasonable requests for information from SHEQ manager Ensure all PPE is worn Ensure works are completed in line with Company RAMS HR (Human Resources) Maintain professional and courteous conduct at all times with colleagues, peers and stakeholders/clients. HSG274 and any other relevant guidance For risk assessing City and Guilds training and extensive knowledge of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition), its associated technical guidance documents of HSG274 and British Standard code of practice for risk assessing, BS8580-1 2019.
