Behaviour Support Worker Location: Chesterfield, Secondary Academy Contract: Full-time,22 nd April - End of Academic Year (July 2025) Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Do you have experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) or a similar environment? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Behaviour Support Worker. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with behavioural needs, helping them engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes. Work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement behaviour strategies and ensure a positive learning environment. Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage personal growth and development. Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour effectively and calmly. Monitor progress, and report to teaching staff and senior leaders to ensure continuous support. What We're Looking For: Proven experience in working with SEND students, ideally within a PRU or similar setting. A patient, empathetic, and resilient individual who can inspire and motivate students facing barriers to learning. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with staff and external agencies.
