Job Description
To ensure the smooth conduct of the shift through customer-focused service delivery and effective staff supervision. To assist management in running the outlet ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and consistent standards through planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the bar operation and administration.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervise day-to-day bar operations adhering to service standards.
2. Assist management by creating a weekly duty roster.
3. Handle guest complaints in a timely and effective manner.
4. Check on guest satisfaction and properly handle feedback and follow-up.
5. Report complaints, incidents, or any other irregularities to Management.
6. Perform opening and closing duties as assigned (checklist).
7. Assist the Bar Manager in conducting daily shift briefings to update and disseminate relevant information to bar employees.
8. Ensure that all operating equipment, service, and storage areas are maintained properly.
9. Help minimize waste, neglect, breakages, and mishandling of supplies and equipment.
10. Carry out light cleaning and maintenance of the pantry area.
11. Monitor the quality of beverage products in every single order.
12. Attend all meetings and training as requested by Bar Management.
13. Perform trainer tasks and conduct staff training as assigned by Bar Manager.
14. Help manage and follow up on employees’ performance appraisals.
15. Check on employees’ discipline, grooming standards, and punctuality; provide coaching.
16. Assist in employee development, counseling, and resolving staff conflict.
17. Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, outlets, hotel services/features.
18. Handle cash following established and proper accounting procedures.
19. Assist other Food & Beverage Outlets in their operations during peak times when needed.
20. Observe Recycling Procedures of the Hotel in relation to cans and bottles.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
1. Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
2. Experienced in all aspects of bar service.
3. Must be well-presented and professionally groomed at all times.
4. Excellent leader and trainer with strong interpersonal skills to deal with diverse staff.
5. Ability to motivate employees to work as a team effectively and productively.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Post-secondary school education or Hotel Management School graduate.
2. Minimum 2 - 3 years hotel experience with at least 1 year in a similar role in a luxury hotel.
3. 1 year food and beverage experience.
4. Previous public contact and/or cashiering experience.
