We are recruiting to our Support to Independence Team and are looking for a suitably skilled, experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the Support to Independence team, working alongside a team of Housing support workers within Together for Children’s internal supported accommodation provisions. The role involves:
1. Working as part of a team.
2. Providing direct day-to-day supportive tasks and duties to young people, such as advice and guidance on benefit claims and employment/training opportunities.
3. Undertaking the role of link worker and developing risk assessments.
4. Conducting planned formal one-to-one work to ensure that individualised independent living skills of young people are progressed, enabling them to live independently and maintain their own tenancy.
5. Encouraging, coaching, and mentoring young people to engage in the support offered and learn skills that will assist them with independent living.
The role requires flexible working hours, including some weekends.
This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
