Job Title: Autism Support Assistant Location: North West England, Lancashire, Fleetwood Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £12.85 - £13.50 Per hour Job Duties: Provide support to students with autism spectrum disorder in an educational setting Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) for students Help students develop social skills and promote positive behaviour Support students in their academic work and activities Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the students' care Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment Required Qualifications: Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding Good communication and interpersonal skills Education: Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications Additional training in autism support or special education is desirable Experience: Prior experience working in an educational or care setting Experience implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of autism spectrum disorder and its impact on individuals Ability to work effectively as part of a team Basic knowledge of behavioural management techniques Preferred Qualifications: Certification in autism support or related field First aid training Working Conditions: Work in a school setting with students with autism spectrum disorder Full-time hours, temporary position Potential for some flexibility in working hours All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
