Job Description Stores Assistant We are looking for a dedicated Stores Assistant to join a high-performing team involved in the building of luxury yachts. This exciting opportunity will see you play a vital role in receiving, storing, and distributing materials that are critical to the yacht production process. If you have a passion for organization and logistics, we want to hear from you Key Responsibilities: Stock Management: Receive, organize, and store a wide range of materials, including everything from electrical goods to hydraulic systems. Collaboration: Liaise with departments and suppliers to ensure stock levels are maintained and orders are processed on time. System Updates: Use computer systems to accurately track stock and ensure proper booking of materials. Processing Delivery Notes: Ensure delivery notes are dealt with promptly to enable the smooth processing of invoices. Safety Protocols: Always adhere to safe working procedures, maintaining a high standard of health and safety in the workplace. Team Support: Assist the production team with additional duties as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the operations. Requirements: Knowledge: Marine knowledge is a plus but not essential. Familiarity with stock control in a production environment is key. Skills: Proficient in using stores IT systems (Navision/Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous) and confident with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook). Experience: Experience working in a busy stores team in manufacturing/production, with knowledge of Goods In/Despatch, Stock Keeping, or Stock Control.
