The Medical Electronics Technician is responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and repair of a range of medical electronic devices, some of which are complex and technologically advanced requiring an in-depth knowledge of current engineering techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out planned maintenance, repair, calibration, and servicing of medical equipment within the hospital, community premises, and patients' homes.
2. Acceptance test new equipment.
3. Train medical and technical staff in the use of medical devices.
Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first month's pay.
