The Respiratory Support Team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital have a vacancy for a Band 6 Nurse or Physiotherapist to join our team. We are looking for a Respiratory Clinical Nurse/Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team and make a difference in the lives of our patients. Does this sound like the perfect job for you?
Our team works across the respiratory pathway seeing patients within the inpatient service and also in clinics. We work closely with other providers to support patients.

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess, monitor, and manage patients with respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis and other chronic respiratory diseases.
2. Advise on admission and discharge pathways to support flow through the acute service.
3. Develop and implement personalised care plans.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care.
5. Educate patients and their families about managing respiratory conditions effectively.
6. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior nursing staff.
7. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in respiratory care.

Qualifications
Essential
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
* Evidence of post registration CPD / post registration qualification in respiratory medicine as the appropriate area of speciality or professional knowledge supplemented by specialist experience and short courses to FHEQ Level 6
Experience
Essential
* Evidence and ability to revalidate as required by the NMC
* Significant post registration experience, with evidence of passion/ enthusiasm and knowledge for the associated area of specialist practice
* Evidence of achievements and career development in current post and of on-going professional development/ competence
* Demonstrate specialist knowledge underpinned by theory and CPD relevant to speciality
* Experience and enthusiasm for teaching/assessing and supervising others in a clinical setting
* Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary and cross agency work environment
* Demonstrate understanding / experience / willingness to be a practice-based supervisor /assessor as detailed in the NMC
