Job Description
Vehicle Technician\n\n * 42.5 – 45 hours a week\n\n * Monday - Friday + alternating Saturdays\n\n * 8am to 5:30pm with 1 hour break\n\n * Alternating Saturdays 8am-1pm\n\n * Salary between £30,000 - £42,500\n\n * Performance Related Bonus\n\n * 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)\n\n * Pension Scheme & Life Assurance\n\n * Privilege vehicle purchase scheme\n\n * Discount on Service, Bodyshop and Parts\n\nKey Responsibilities of a Vehicle Technician:\n\n * Carry out services on specific makes and models of vehicles\n\n * Perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles - such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation\n\n * Identify issues with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment\n\n * General maintenance and repairs\n\n * Carrying out MOT Tests (If qualified to do so)\n\n * Brakes checks and changes (pads and discs)\n\n * Suspension work\n\n * Repairs on lights\n\n * Repairing and replacing exhausts\n\n * Repairing and replacing clutches\n\n * Dealing with gearboxes\n\n * Plan and keep up to date records of repair procedures using charts manuals and experience.\n\n * Test the functionality of parts and systems once repairs are completed\n\nVehicle Technician Requirements:\n\n * NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI certifications required to Level 3 or Level 2 accepted with a minimum of 5 years services\n\n * Hold a full valid driver license.\n\n * Hold a valid MOT Tester certificate - beneficial but not essential
